At All Chiang Mai Tours, we’ve partnered with Elephant Retirement Park, a grassroots sanctuary in Baan Eieag village, to bring you a ethical and meaningful elephant experience.
This special retreat is home to retired working elephants who are now free to roam, recover, and reconnect with nature. Visitors can feed, bathe, and walk alongside these gentle giants - no riding, no shows - just compassion and connection.

Half-day morning Elephant care program ( group tour )
* Feeding, Bathing, and Mud playing with the friendly elephant

07.00 am. - 07.30 am. : Pick up from your hotel, take 1 hr. to the park.
* The schedule may change depending on the weather, traffic, and congestion on the day.
08.30 am. : Arrive at the elephant park. Get information about our elephants and our park.
09.00 am. : Prepare food and herbal medicines for elephants and enjoy feeding them.
11.00 am. : Walk with the elephant to the elephant park area, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It is time to clean elephants by bathing them and scrubbing mud to protect elephant skin from insects and let them play in the sand area.
Noon : Time for lunch, our lunch is a traditional Thai buffet which is suitable for vegetarians.
01.30 pm. : Take you back to your hotel. (drive about 1 hr. back to the city)

Private Half-Day Morning
If you enjoy the private environment, we recommend a private half-day program, everything private - Private pick up car, private guide, private lunch, and get the private elephant to enjoy with you and your friend
Start your journey in the morning with a private hotel pick-up from Chiang Mai city centre. Take the 1-hour ride to the countryside of Mae Tang district. Get changed into the local clothes and be ready for fun activities. The experienced guide will provide information about the elephants' behaviour and how to provide proper care for them. Then, you will get to prepare food and healthy treats for the elephants and feed them afterwards.
After that, you and the elephants will walk to play in the mud and sand spa. During this time, you will have a chance to observe their behaviour. You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery as well. After your time with the elephants, change your clothes, shower, and then enjoy a delicious traditional Thai buffet lunch, which is suitable for vegetarians. To end your trip, you will take the 1-hour journey back to the city and will be transferred back to your hotel in Chiang Mai city centre.

9.00 am. : Then, you will get to prepare food and healthy treats for the elephants. Next, you will feed the elephants. While they enjoy their baskets of bananas, you can photograph them (Please close the flash on your camera). You can touch and interact with the elephants at your leisure while you learn about their behaviour.
11.00 am. : After that, you and the elephants will walk to play in the mud and sand spa. During this time, you will have a chance to observe their behaviour. You can also enjoy the elephant cleaning the elephant's skin and scrubbing mud on their body to protect elephant skin from the insect, this activity depends on the elephant if the elephant wants to do you can join we do not force the elephant to entertain you we come to take care and entertain them. After your time with the elephants, change your clothes, and shower.
12.00 pm. : Enjoy a Thai buffet lunch with complimentary filtered water, coffee, and tea. To end your trip, you will take the 1-hour journey back to the city and will be transferred back to your hotel in Chiang Mai city centre.
