All Chiang Mai Tours partners with Elephant Retirement Park in Baan Eieag village, a retreat for retired working elephants. Feed, walk alongside and take part in their care in a peaceful jungle setting, with no elephant riding or shows.
Your visit supports elephant welfare and responsible tourism. Come with curiosity, care and a change of clothes.

11:00 am — Walk with the elephants; bathing, mud care and sand play.
Noon — Vegetarian-friendly Thai buffet lunch.
1:30 pm — Depart for your hotel; approximately 1 hour back to the city.

Travel from Chiang Mai city centre to Mae Tang with your own transport and guide. Change into local clothes, learn about elephant behaviour and care, prepare treats and spend time feeding and walking alongside the elephants.

7:00–7:30 am — Hotel pick-up; approximately 1 hour to Mae Tang.
8:30 am — Change into local clothes; briefing on elephant history, behaviour and care.
9:00 am — Prepare healthy treats, feed the elephants and take photos without flash.
11:00 am — Walk, observe and join mud and sand care when the elephants choose; change clothes and shower afterwards.
Noon — Vegetarian-friendly Thai buffet with filtered water, coffee and tea; approximately 1 hour back to Chiang Mai.
1:30–2:00 pm — Approximate arrival at your hotel.
The mud and sand activities follow the elephants’ willingness; they are not forced to entertain visitors. Turn off your camera flash when photographing them.
