Welcome to our heartwarming elephant camp, tucked away in the scenic Elephant Valley, just 40 km from Chiang Mai. Rich in history, this site has long served as a stopover between the nearby Karen village and the city. In collaboration with the local Karen people, we've created a camp that mirrors the traditional Karen village lifestyle, complete with cozy housing, rice fields, vegetable gardens, and comfortable lodgings for our beloved elephants.

Working closely with the Karen hill tribe and other local tribespeople, we strive to maintain the camp's unique charm and ensure the well-being of our gentle giants. Our elephants are not only healthy and happy but also an integral part of the village community. We carefully manage their breeding and reproduction to sustain the elephant population, and we oversee their diets to provide them with the right type and quantity of food.

Our elephants enjoy the freedom to roam the property under the watchful eyes of their dedicated mahouts, ensuring they get plenty of exercise every day. Each elephant has a personal mahout, and together they form lifelong bonds, often spanning several years. Being a mahout is a lifetime commitment – these devoted caretakers stay with their elephants day and night, catering to their every need and requirement.

- Pick up from your hotel between 8:00-8:30 am

- Drive about 1 hour to the elephant camp.

- Arrived at camp, guide explains about the background and nature of the elephants.

- Prepare food and cut sugarcan for the elephants.

- Learn how to make herbal vitamin and medicine for the elephants.

- Enjoy Thai lunch.

- Meet the elephants. Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment as you learn about their behavior and history.

- Walking with the elephants about 45 mins to their natural habitat.

- Take a mud spa with elephants. 

- Bath and brush elephants in the natural river. 

- Say goodbye to the elephants and return to the city.

- Return to your hotel around 5:00 - 5.30 pm
