Spend a day in Elephant Valley, 40 km from Chiang Mai. Prepare food, learn about the elephants, walk with them and join mud-spa and river-bathing activities in their natural surroundings.

Each elephant has a dedicated mahout who stays close, oversees daily care and helps them exercise as they roam the property. Discover the relationship between the elephants and the people who care for them, and learn about their behaviour and history.

The camp works with local Karen and other tribal communities. Its setting reflects traditional Karen village life, with housing, rice fields and vegetable gardens, on a historic route between the village and Chiang Mai.
Camp staff oversee the elephants’ diet, breeding and reproduction as part of their care. Your day offers a glimpse into the elephants’ routines and the local community around them.

8:00–8:30 am — Hotel pick-up, then approximately 1 hour to the camp.
🐘 GET TO KNOW THE ELEPHANTS
A guide introduces their background and nature. Prepare food and cut sugar cane, then learn how herbal vitamins and medicines are made for the elephants.
🍽️ LUNCH & ELEPHANT TIME
Enjoy a Thai lunch. Feed, interact and spend time with the elephants while learning about their behaviour and history.
🌿 WALK INTO THEIR WORLD
Walk for approximately 45 minutes to their natural habitat. Join a mud spa, then bathe and brush the elephants in the river.
5:00–5:30 pm — Approximate return to your hotel.
